Red wine.

Yesterday was the first time I've ever worn red lipstick out of the house. Not sure if I'll be doing it again any time soon it looks a bit much on my ghostly face. I do love the colour though, it's red wine by models own, it goes on lovely and lasts well. I recommend it to those lucky enough to be able to pull off such a bold colour. I've dyed my hair dark again also & it's been cut short.. I feel more like myself with dark hair the browny blonde colour made me feel too 'plain Jane', wish it wasn't so short though.

Falling leaves.

So Autmun is officially here & I think I'm appreciating it more this year than I ever have before. The image below is just something thats been floating about on tumblr (if anybody know who made it let me know & I'll credit it). It pretty much sums up everything wonderful about Autumn, it also sums up my life at the moment quite nicely (minus work and all the other boring stuff).
Autumn colours, berry shades, rusty shades, wether it's nail varnish or what I'm wearing.. I keep resorting to these comforting colours.

Falling leaves, great to look at but they aren't fun unless they're crispy! Kicking through great big piles of them that form and just feeling like a child again. It's the little things.

Warm boots, I'm still trying to figure out which boots I'd like to buy, suggestions welcome. I usually resort to UGG boots because they're the worlds most comfortable shoes but I fancy a change, something more visually pleasing and perhaps water proof? Thats as much as I've narrowed it down.

Scarves, I have a great collection that will no doubt grow this year as I've seen so many lovely ones on the highstreet. If anyone would care to donate a Louis Vuitton leopard print scarf it would be much appreciated.

Comfort food, my diet is awful at the minute, I'm always busy so I've just been eating what ever I can, when ever I can. Mostly living off soup is very comforting though, I must learn how to make my own.

Rainy walks, an all too regular occurance. I walk Ellie every day & the weather hasn't been great lately, I don't like it when it's light rain but I LOVE when it's completely pouring down and you get completely soaked through, it's refreshing & going home & changing into pyjamas or having a hot bath. Easilly once of my favourite things.

Fireplaces, love/hate. I think I'm the only person I know who only has a real fire in their home. It's nice I like the whole process of buying coal and chopping wood and such for the fire and it's so cosy but you can't turn it down or off so we tend to leave it until it gets really cold until we light it (we being me & my parents). Sometimes I wish we had a gas/electric or what ever they are fire for convenience.

Layering, something I'm completely shit at but it never stops me! I'm no fashionista but I do love lots of layers.

Snuggly beds, what more can I say.. I spend most of the time I'm at home in my bed. I think it's one of my favourite places.

So this has been a post about the little things I love about Autumn, what are your favourite things about Autumn?? I don't think this season gets enough credit! Also while we're on the topic of the little things I made an account on 43things.com which is a website for making goals, recording progress & people cheer you on & help you, very posi. It's become a new favourite of mine, everyone is so lovely and one of the goals I've set for myself is to create a list of 100 things that make me happy that don't involve any money. I'm doing it bit by bit as & when I think of things so that it's very personal to me & not general & rushed but it's excellent to refer to when you aren't feeling your best I'm so happy I've started it. It's exactly a year today since I got my Mulberry Alexa. After having been on a waiting list for what felt like forever. I still use this bag every day & it was worth every penny.

Daisy loves..

Haven't posted any Daisy Lowe in a while & seeing as she's my favourite here is what you're missing out on if you don't already have your Comany high-street edit! Nothing short of perfect, as usual. Despite my fave lady being plastered all over the pages I always find new fashion illustrators in Company high-street edits. There are some really nice ones I still need to look up in this issue.

Cherry pie.

So I'm sure you're all aware of the massive 50% off sale Models Own recently held, well I finally received my order! Nice to arrive home to after work.



Here is what me and my little sister got between us.




So Charli (my sister obv) got a bronzer in 'natural bronze', a wah nails nail art pen, nail polish in 'cherry pie' & a 3 in 1 top coat.

I got a lipstick in 'red wine'.. it's a dark red colour. not too dark though, I really really like it. It's the first models own lipstick I've tried & it wont be the last it's lovely. I also got a wah nails nail art pen & I got 3 nail polishes in 'purple grey', 'vintage pink' & 'top turquoise'. Looking forward to trying them all out! Did any of you make an order?? Let me know what you got!

Also it's getting on my nerves how all over the place this blog is, pretty much all the blog I follow are so structured and well thought about so I thought I'd apologise for being all over the place.

So here are the purchases I made after work today.. nothing exciting.



A slouchy, over sized grey t-shirt from Topshop! I got the Alexander McQueen scarf last Christmas but I'm going to actually wear it this autumn/winter.



Cranberry coloured cardigan, looks totally frumpy in this image but it's lovely and cosy! I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this over the next few months. I will certainly get my money's worth. Also despite not having a valid student card anymore the lady let me off & gave me perhaps my last ever 10% off.. like she rightly said, 'it's no skin off her back giving you 10% off', lovely lady!

Hello lovelies, have a picture of my big drunken over edited face!
Haven't posted in a while I've been busy/lazy. I went to Nando's with Becca on Friday for a little catch up and some unreal food.. is it weird that I go to Nando's for corn on the cob & chips? It's such good corn on the cob though. I was working over the weekend, I went out on Monday for a friend of a friends birthday, as you do. I got really drunk & took a photo of my face, see above! It was fun to catch up with Carrie-ann though, we had some amazing cocktails and of course danced shamelessly all night.



This week my mam & dad had both gotten a bottle of amaretto in so the pre-town drinks were flowing & they without a doubt taste better from a glass with a tash.


When you leave digital you always get a shit tonne of flyers thrust upon you but this time I was pleasantly surprised with this 'Toon Tea party' flyer! How canny?!

So other than working & getting drunk I've been looking after Ellie, she had a little operation last week.. nothing serious just so she can't have puppies. We've lazed about & watched films.. I have loads & loads of films..


Tidied up a couple of my shelves a bit & realised I do not act 19.. this shelf could belong to a 12 year old haha. Oh dear.

Yesterday I went for a manicure, I couldn't decide what I wanted so I just let Adele do as she pleased & this is what she did.

Today I had work, I popped over to Topshop afterwards for a browse & ended up getting a couple things which I'll post about in a bit. I hadn't been to Topshop in town in ages though & there is now a cupcake shop outside of it, the cupcakes look so so good!

Tried to take a sneaky shot but the noise & flash went off on my phone, not very subtle at all.. but here's what I snapped.


So pretty! There were so many different designs I would never be able to decide if I were to get one.. By looking at them I'd guess they're expensive, if anybody has tried one do let me know what you thought!

Nicest thing.

So I got the first thing from my winter wish list! Also got some nice raspberry & blackberry bubble bath! Baths are a lot more appealing to me when the weather starts to get colder & I'm working long days. Also got a cheapy loreal liquid eyeliner because I don't know whats good and what not so if any of you can recommend a good liquid eyeliner preferably with a thick brush that would be really good!



Can't wait to give my shoes their first outing when I go for lunch with Becca tomorrow! It'll be nice I've not seen her in a while.

Winter wish list.

This winter I'd like my wardrobe to consist of loads of cranberry knitwear, grey slob t-shirts, black jeans, loads of leopard print & gold accessories.. here are a few things I hope to purchase to get me going!

Everything is from Topshop apart from the necklace which is Disney Couture. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to clothes I like to be comfortable so this is pretty much the kind of thing I'll be living in for the foreseeable future.

Found my old ghetto fabulous ear rings the other day! I used to wear them religiously and secretly believe that I was Lily Allen. I wish I could still wear them but they look ridiculous through my tunnels, haha. Ah well my fault for being such a goth.

Hello, it's me again.

So the other night I went to visit Becky's new house.. There is something pretty everywhere you look it was so lovely! So first I was introduced to Maizy the pug.. she was such a sweetie!


Next Becky gave me a little tour of the house & everything was right up my street.. I got a little snap happy but everything was so nice. Pretty little trinkets and decorations in every direction it was lovely.




After I'd had a little explore of the house Becky gave me this amazing rocky road cupcake which she'd gotten from Harvey Nichols.. so delicious!


Then despite having just stuffed my face with cake we had a 3 course meal which consisted of soup & pea pods for starters, pesto, mozzarella quorn escallops with pizza express dough balls & potato waffles for main (carby feasts are the best kind of feast)... then we polished it all off with a rolo yogurt. Of course the table was immaculately set.


Had a lovely stay, hope I have a house as nice as this one day!

I like you.

So I've spent today catching up on sleep and browsing the Urban Outfitters website. I came across this necklace by 'In God We Trust' & I fell head over heels in love with it. It's the cutest thing I ever saw only it's not that kind of thing you buy for yourself what with it being a heart that says 'I like you' on it. If anyone ever bought me this necklace I don't even know.. nobody ever would but just imagine. Aw.. anyone who gets given one is so lucky.

Nothing would be more perfect than being given this from a nice boy... ahh wishful thinking. The fact that it says 'I like you' instead of 'I love you' is what does it for me.. I hate the word 'love', after coming out of a 4 year relationship I've became very bitter about that sort of thing. TMI? Okay I'm finished.

Tea cup.

Sorry I've neglected my blog this weekend, I've been working from 8 till 5 each day & my parents have been away for the weekend so I've had to keep on top of house work & I've never stopped. Luckily I don't have work for another week now! Been so boring I've been waking up at 5.30 to get up, ready, feed the cat then leave for work, slaving away all day then finally arriving home at 6 ish to do chores then passing out in bed before having to do it all again the next day. Feel so run down & I'm covered in cuts & bruises from work & I can't cook so I've lived off shitty food & I've forgotten what fruit & vegetables even are. God help me when I live alone, I'm going to teach myself to cook soon.. send any nice healthy, vegetarian & preferably easy recipes my way!

Here is what I had for breakfast on Saturday morning, a cranberry & orange muffin with a capri-sun. Yep, breakfast in bed because I was too cold to be anywhere else.



Skipped lunch because the sauce I put on my pasta was out of date & it had to go straight in the bin. Here is my tea, malteasers & a milkshake.. I am disgusting & can't wait to resume a normal diet. Once again eating in bed because the heating broke so I had to be under my quilt at all times.

Eventually my parents arrived home & they'd gotten me a cute Cath Kidston mug & some hand made berry flavoured soap! Delicious.
